Beach Park: an Original Gem of South Tampa
The Beach Park section of South Tampa was first platted in November of 1924 by The Beach Park Company, Inc. It is bounded by Lois Avenue on the East, Tampa Bay/South Hoover Boulevard on the West, Kennedy Boulevard on the North and W. Morrison Avenue/W. Beachway Dr. on the South. Beach Park is known for its well kept homes, large lots, large oak trees, and proximity to Tampa Airport and downtown Tampa.

Beach Park is one of the original gems of South Tampa. The allure of this historic area dates back to the 1920s. In fact, there are still a couple homes on Bayside Drive that were built during 1925, which one of the first platted sections of Beach Park. In 2002 a historic 1925 Beach Park home was sold for $650,000.

Henry B. Plant originally owned Beach Park and sold it to investors. During 1911, T. Roy Young, William Trice, Milton and Giddings Mabry purchased Beach Park and subdivide it into “Beach Park on the Bay.” These developers created manmade canals and bayous accompanied by windy roads to give it a unique and extra special appeal. There used to be an archway over the West Shore Boulevard and Cleveland Street intersection, however efforts to expand the road required it’s removal.

Beach Park is a top choice for people moving to the stunning Tampa Bay area. This ideal location is south of Kennedy Boulevard and is on the west side of Lois Ave. Beach Park is renown for its beautiful homes, stunning beachside view and convenience for entering the bay. There are large oak trees that adorn the neighborhood and the famous Swann Circle Park is located nearby. People love living the Floridian dream in Beach Park near the heart of Tampa Bay.
